Happy Birthday To Me (& the Neo Geo Pocket Color)

Okay, so I’m very much reaching when I say that I share a birthday with the NGPC. I just wanted to feel special. The fact is that I had a birthday recently, and the Neo Geo Pocket Color was supposedly launched in North America on August 6, 1999. Now that I typed it out, it doesn’t seem all that special anymore.

For my birthday, we did a little reenactment of the classic Office Space scene where they went all gangsta on a printer. I really wish that this had been shot in landscape, as all videos should be recorded, but it’s still a little entertaining. My hit caused part of the printer to fly over and hit one of the vehicles.

WonderSwan Flash Masta USB - PrototypeIn real news, we have been working on the WonderSwan flash cartridge quite a bit lately. I hope to have something new to show after we get a batch of new PCBs in. I am also hoping that these new ones won’t need modifications like the latest one did. Basically, I hope this next run of circuit boards will be just like what I’m showing here, except that it won’t have all the little extra wires all over.

I would also like to announce that we have used some of the techniques learned while working on the WonderSwan to resurrect the Atari Lynx Flash Masta cartridge project.

New Stickers And A Survey With WonderSwan Questions

Neo Pocket Flash Masta StickerThey are finally here. STICKERS!!!

Click here if you are interested in a WonderSwan flash cart development kit and would like to help direct our focus!

EDIT: Poll Closed (If you still want your voice heard, please leave a comment here or use the contact form to reach us.)

It has taken way too long to get these stickers made, but that’s not your concern. You care about how cool they look on your Neo Pocket Flash Masta cart, right? Well, take a look at the picture, and you can see how slick they are in action.

A guy named Robert has just ordered the first bundle that will come with these new stickers. I hope he’s excited. I plan to get that sent out early next week, and these stickers should be on all new orders from now into the foreseeable future.

For those of you that already own a Neo Pocket Flash Masta cartridge (or maybe several), there is still hope. I will send you a sticker for each of your cartridges. All you have to do is fill out a simple survey.

Speaking of the survey, let that be a segue into the bit about the survey. Heh Heh.

The survey is really for us to get to know you better and to get your feedback on where we should be focused. What can we do better? What systems should we consider in the future? It’s just this sort of stuff that (we hope) you would like to discuss anyway.

We are working on a new WonderSwan cartridge that has been in the works on and off for some time now. Part of the survey is specifically about this, so, if you are interested in WonderSwan, PLEASE fill it out.

EDIT: Poll Closed (If you still want your voice heard, please leave a comment here or use the contact form to reach us.)

Please note that, even though this survey is so we can better take your needs/desires into account, not every option/suggestion we receive may be viable. We are trying our best to please you, but there are a lot of you to please (which is good).

Thanks!

Atari Lynx Flash Cartridge: “Flashmasta Lynx”

In case you didn’t see this on my YouTube feed, I’ve been tinkering with some new ideas. This one is a flash cartridge for the Atari Lynx. This is an early prototype that has some problems and missing features, but it’s still a good proof of concept. If you don’t want to miss when I post YouTube stuff (which I hope to do more frequently), subscribe to my YouTube channel and get updated that way.

In a day or two, I plan to post some other news, but I thought I should toss this out there while I was thinking about it.
